Background
Anisa Gire, O.D., is an assistant professor of ophthalmology at the Wilmer Eye Institute. Her specialties include contact lens fits for patients with corneal disorders, such as post-graft corneas and keratoconus; cosmetic contact lenses and scleral lenses, including PROSE. She also provides comprehensive eye examinations and is a member of Wilmer's Ocular Surface Disease and Dry Eye Team, treating patients with dry eye and ocular surface diseases, including Sjogren's Syndrome.
Dr. Gire earned her optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry. Her training includes a cornea and contact lens fellowship, also at the University of Houston, and a Prosthetic Replacement of the Ocular Surface Ecosystem (PROSE) fellowship at the Boston Foundation for Sight.
