Bond-to-Bond Mentorship Program
Building Our Neighbors Dreams Beyond Our Neighbors’ Doors (Bond-to-Bond) is a career development and youth mentorship program designed to provide mentor support to students attending high schools in the Hopkins community. The program exposes students to a variety of careers in healthcare via internships throughout The Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Participants are required to intern between 8-10 hours weekly throughout the academic year. Not only does the program give high school students experience in a professional healthcare setting, it allows them to earn the volunteer hours required for high school graduation.
Participating schools include: Dunbar High School, The Institute of Notre Dame (IND), Academy for College and Career Exploration (ACCE), the REACH! Partnership School, Cristo Rey, and a few students coming from high schools affiliated with Humanim and the Urban Alliance Foundation. Participation is dependent upon the availability of departmental intern sites.
