We are devoted to improving the lives of children throughout our community and greater region.
As a teaching hospital on the forefront of discovery, we believe we have a duty to be an innovative community health leader in developing safe and healthy families. Through advocacy, education and collaboration we aim to advance equitable quality of life for all children and families within the hospital and community.
We frequently visit lawmakers in Tallahassee to advocate children’s health care issues and call upon our community members to speak up for the hundreds of kids who are unable to speak for themselves.
Through partnering with community leaders, schools and other health care providers, we are creating channels for the growth and advocacy of community health services for:
- Support before, during and after pregnancy
- Early childhood health and development
- Injury prevention
- Disease management
- Healthy lifestyle education for children, adolescents and families
