Update Regarding Required Opioid Training for DEA Renewal
27 JUNE 2023
Providers renewing their DEA registrations after June 27, 2023, will be required to complete a one-time, eight-hour training on the treatment and management of patients with opioid or other substance use disorders. This requirement effects all DEA registrants regardless of whether they currently are or are not willing to prescribe buprenorphine to patients.
