Background
Dr. Licia Luna specializes in neuroradiology, with an interest in advanced neuroimaging techniques, including functional MRI and molecular imaging/PET, focused on brain tumors, neurodegenerative and neuropsychiatric disorders.
She earned her medical degree from Federal University of Ceara, Brazil. She went on to complete an internship and residency in diagnostic radiology at Fortaleza General Hospital before going on to a fellowship in chest/cardiac radiology at Regional University Center of Lille, France. She also completed a neuroradiology fellowship at Groupe Hospitalier Pitié-Salpétrière, Paris, France, and a research fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital. She earned her Ph.D. in medical sciences from Federal University of Ceara, Brazil, before completing further fellowships in neuroradiology, PET-CT and nuclear medicine/molecular imaging, and advanced diagnostic neuroradiology from Johns Hopkins University.
