Background
Matthew O'Sullivan, M.D., Ph.D. is an instructor of ophthalmology, vitreoretinal specialist and surgeon at the Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins Medicine's East Baltimore, Odenton, and Bel Air locations. A former Wilmer vitreoretinal surgery fellow, Dr. O'Sullivan completed his ophthalmology residency at Duke University Hospital and his doctorate in neuroscience at the University of California, San Diego. Dr. O'Sullivan specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of complex medical and surgical retina conditions including diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal vein occlusions, retinal detachments, macular holes, and epiretinal membranes (macular puckers).
