Andrew Smith, MD, MSCI, MMHC
Cardiac Critical Care Medicine
Dr. Smith specializes in pediatric cardiac critical care medicine at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, where he serves as medical director of the cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU) and chief of the division of cardiac critical care medicine. He joined the hospital staff in 2021. He was previously medical director of the CICU, associate chief of staff and executive medical director for quality and safety at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt in Nashville, Tennessee.

Zachary Coffman, MD
Cardiac Critical Care Medicine
Dr. Coffman specializes in pediatric cardiac critical care in the cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU) at Johns Hopkins All Children’s. He joined the hospital staff in 2020. He earned his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. He completed a pediatric residency at University of Virginia Children’s Hospital. He then completed a fellowship in pediatric cardiology and an advanced fellowship in pediatric cardiac critical care at the Medical University of South Carolina.
Lily Landry, MD
Cardiac Critical Care Medicine
Dr. Landry specializes in pediatric cardiac critical care medicine at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida. She joined the hospital staff in 2023. She earned her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in pediatrics, followed by a fellowship in pediatric cardiology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. She then completed an instructorship in pediatric cardiac critical care at Texas Children’s Hospital.
Reema Patel, MD

Dr. Patel specializes in critical care medicine in the cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU) at Johns Hopkins All Children’s. She joined the medical staff in 2020. Dr. Patel earned her medical degree from Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine in Huntington, West Virginia. She completed her pediatric residency at Carolinas Medical Center/Levine Children’s Hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina. She then completed a pediatric cardiology fellowship at Saint Louis University/SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital in St. Louis, followed by a fellowship in pediatric cardiac intensive care at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University/Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago.
Imran Sajan, MD
Cardiac Critical Care Medicine
Dr. Sajan specializes in pediatric cardiology and pediatric cardiac critical care medicine in the cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU) in the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Heart Institute. He joined the hospital staff in 2020. Dr. Sajan came to Johns Hopkins All Children’s from Chicago, where he worked as a pediatric cardiologist and pediatric cardiac intensivist at the Advocate Children’s Hospital Heart Institute.
Michelle Smith, MD
Cardiac Critical Care Medicine
Dr. Smith specializes in critical care medicine in the cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU) and pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. She joined the medical staff in 2002 and became vice chair of the medical staff in January 2020. She became chief of the medical staff in January 2022. She earned her medical degree at Georgetown University School of Medicine and completed her pediatric residency at Children’s Hospital, Los Angeles. She completed her pediatric critical care fellowship at The Johns Hopkins University.
Arabela Stock, MD
Cardiac Critical Care Medicine
Dr. Stock specializes in pediatric cardiac critical care, is co-director of patient safety and quality in the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Heart Institute, co-chair of the Heart Institute Patient Safety & Quality committee, and leads the quality and safety program in the cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU). She was previously the medical director of the CVICU and the director of quality and safety of the CVICU and pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) at New York–Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell Medical College. She also taught and was closely involved with the medical student curriculum at Weill Cornell Medicine. Before that, she also served as the medical director of the CVICU at Johns Hopkins All Children’s from 2011-2015.
