Background
Dr. Samuel Vanderhoek is an anesthesiologist and assistant professor of anesthesiology and critical care medicine at Johns Hopkins Children’s Center in Baltimore, Maryland. He is also the director of Pediatric Perioperative Ambulatory Services. He specializes in providing anesthesia and care during and after surgery for infants, children and adolescents. He also sees patients in the Children’s Center for Perioperative Optimization and is a member of the advanced regional anesthesia team.
Dr. Vanderhoek graduated from the Ichan School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He then completed a residency in anesthesiology at Massachusetts General Hospital, followed by a fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology at Boston Children’s Hospital.
