Background
Dr. Sean Tackett is an associate professor of medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. His area of clinical expertise is general internal medicine and his academic focus is international medical education.
Dr. Tackett received his M.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He completed his residency at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center and performed a fellowship in internal medicine at Johns Hopkins, where he completed an M.P.H. at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
He teaches in the Curriculum Development for Medical Education faculty development program at Johns Hopkins Bayview and has advised on educational projects for an NIH Fogarty-funded masters program for research ethics in Malaysia and for the World Health Organization.
His research has focused on well-being, educational technologies, and the regulation of medical education.
He also works with other educators to identify "must reads" in medical education each month.
Clinically, he practices hospital medicine and attends on medical teaching services.
