Background
Stephanie Van, M.D., is a rehabilitation physician specializing in interventional pain and musculoskeletal medicine, with clinic locations in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area. Her expertise includes evaluating and treating people with back pain and other ligament, joint and muscle conditions, as well as complex chronic pain due to neurological disorders like stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries, and complex regional pain syndrome. Dr. Van is experienced in outpatient procedures such as trigger point injections, joint injections and spinal injections for arthritis and nerve pain.
Dr. Van is an assistant professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She earned her medical degree from the Georgetown University School of Medicine, and she completed a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Johns Hopkins, where she was a chief resident. She then trained as a pain medicine fellow at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine.
