MOSCOW, December 7, 2021 / PRNewswire / – The first international forum “Mass Media and Digital Technologies Facing the Challenge of Information and Historical Falsification” was organized by the magazine “International Affairs” of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The event was supported by the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media. Russian experts in history, politics and the media, as well as leading foreign scholars of Europe and Asia, attended the forum in person and through the web conference.
The discussions brought together representatives of relevant Russian ministries, Russian media (RT, REN-TV, Rossiya Segodnya) and high-level professors and academics (MGIMO, RANEPA, St. Petersburg State University, Technical University of Bauman State of Moscow). The community of experts focused on the question of the interpretation of historical events.
Armen Oganesyan, editor-in-chief of the magazine Affaires internationales and chairman of the forum’s organizing committee, said that the perception of the same historical reality tends to vary from generation to generation: âWith our colleagues, we see the interest in history among young people, but it is not always possible to find a unified approach to covering and understanding past events. On the sidelines of the forum, in the foyer of that of Moscow National Hotel, “Nuremberg. VRdict of Nations”. The project “Nuremberg.
